Seriously, this is a well done short piece on the history of graffiti done by PBS.  Informative as it dives into the historical relevance and the evolution of the graffiti scene as we know it today. Interviews by the authors of "The History of American Graffiti,"as they explain a bit of the scene and its history.

Tuesday's Underground Lowdown

Definitely a dope DVD for the freight writer, has everything a freight writer would want to see. It drags at times, especially at the action scenes, but once you fast forward through those times it picks up again. At 1hour and 42min running time, you def get your money's worth. This video was definitely made by freight writers for freight writers.  Made back in 2004 it does show its age given we now have widescreens and 4k video; however, it doesnt take away from its legendary status and relevance today.  Features some live action painting and train hopping with KWEST and SENSR, and a hobo interview with Malachi aka ''RIDE HARD RETARD''.  YouTube description brags that "this film had worldwide distribution with over 7,800 copies being sold." A real dope original soundtrack mixed by SOE1 throughout the video

Terror in the Burbs

A hardcore soundtrack was the best thing about this video. It was ok with an original concept but lacked and needed quicker action scenes, I mean there's only so long you can watch someone else paint and be entertained. It did showcase some dope writers and some dope pieces but lagged at times but otherwise was just ok.

Tuesdays Underground Lowdown

Teenagers from Uranus: Another acid trip. Definitely picks up where the first one left off. It had some dope graffiti scenes and interviews with the arrested Refuse who was featured in the first one. Live bombing was good but again I want more graffiti footage. The skits again were even more messed up then the first one but not as funny. The driver licenses did leave us rolling on the floor laughing. The extra features again were funny as well. But we'd have to say that we enjoyed the first one more.

We gave this a 6.5 out of 10

IMDB has this at 5.5 and rotten tomatoes at 100%

Tuesday's Underground Lowdown

Today we'll be looking at Cant Stop Fanatics 2.  It's a European train video that features nearly all live action footage.  This video was sponsored by Molotow and came out in 2006.

First thing we noticed right from the start was the poor video quality.  We know this is from the mid 2000's but it looks as if it was shot from the late 90's.  Unfortunately this really prevented us from giving it a higher rating.  With all the dope panel pieces on commuter trains and smashed whole cars, it's hard to make them out as a lot of the footage is of poor quality and shaky.  There is a lot of thrilling action shots of writers just crushing commuter trains.

It was entertaining enough to watch once but we will move on to something else after.  We have seen other European videos that were a bit more entertaining and a lot better quality.  The music through out was a bit rough and you'll be better off putting it on mute and putting your own music to it.

It's been a minute since our last post but we're back.  A lot of personal setbacks have put Graff Inc Trades on hold.  This is a force that can't be stopped thought so it's moving forward.

For this Tuesday's Underground Lowdown we are looking at Dirty Handz.  We were not expecting such a sick video to come out of Europe, but we seriously underestimated the European creativity and style. This dude narrates as he goes to most major European cities and destroys passenger train after passenger train! The narrator and the artists he meets up with puts most U.S. writers to shame especially when they travel to New York City and destroy the MTA's subway cars.  They even manage to get up and do 4 whole cars! This video was really well put together and organized and we have watched this video many times.  Along with their graffiti Euro styles, the soundtrack in this video has European style too it, but that should be a given and is definitely not a minus.

Tuesday's Underground Lowdown

This documentary held up to its magazines well known organization and professionalism. A real breath of fresh air, definitely not another 'drugs, sex, graffiti, violence' ...a true documentary on the art of graffiti.  I really enjoyed the 'down to Earth' - nothing but love for
graffiti interviews and commentaries from the real street artists and hardcore graffiti writers. Chock full insane on the edge of your seat bombing with the writer giving commentary on their own thoughts and feelings about who, what, why they do, what they do! With so many dope writers this flick was really well organized and had an awesome and original soundtrack.

Did you know we've been around since 2001?  We've been reviewing underground graffiti movies for over a decade.  This week, we're starting with a European movie called, Dirty Handz.
